Recharge Risk Assessment Method Reports

The Recharge Risk Assessment Method (RRAM), developed by CSIRO and SKM in partnership with the MDBA, was used to derive preliminary groundwater extraction limits.

The RRAM reports outline the resource characteristics; key environmental assets, key ecosystem functions, the productive base and key environmental outcomes that were taken into consideration in setting groundwater sustainable diversion limits (SDLs) for each groundwater resource.

Note that these reports were completed in 2010 and are based on the draft SDL resource units and boundaries proposed prior to the Basin Plan. Some of these SDL resource unit names, boundaries and SDLs have since changed either during the finalisation of the Basin Plan period in 2012 or through the Basin Plan amendments in 2018.
