Financial reports, statements and MDBA governance documents

Privacy collection notice for all personal information collected by the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

From time to time the MDBA may collect personal information from someone other than the individual to whom the information relates to complete financial reports and statements and MDBA governance documents as required by the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (Cth) or the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

The information may include your name, your relationship and interests you hold that may be a perceived or actual conflict of interest for the individual who provided the personal information.

The information collected may be used by MDBA staff involved in finance and governance arrangements. Your personal information may otherwise only be shared if you consent or where it is otherwise permitted, required or authorised by or under an Australian law, court or tribunal order.

The MDBA’s Privacy Policy contains information about how you may access or correct your personal information held by us, on how you can complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and how the MDBA will deal with such a complaint.
