The Northern Basin Environmental Watering Group was established in 2019 to co-ordinate the planning and delivery of water for the environment in the northern Basin to enhance connectivity and improve environmental outcomes.
The 2024 Native Fish Forum took place in Canberra from 25 to 27 March. The 3-day event was presented by Finterest in partnership with the MDBA.

The Southern Connected Basin Environmental Watering Committee is the forum that supports coordination of delivery of water for the environment across multiple water holders and jurisdictions in the Southern Basin.

The Living Murray is a joint initiative of the Australian Government and the governments of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. The program is coordinated by the Murray–Darling Basin Authority. The Living Murray focuses on activities at key ‘icon sites’ along the River Murray.
