Basin state governments and the Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) are celebrating 20 years of The Living Murray (TLM) program – one of the longest-running river restoration projects in Australia.

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) operates the River Murray to share water between New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, as required under the Murray–Darling Basin Agreement. To undertake this work the MDBA has built, maintained and operated a hydrological model of the River Murray.

The most impressive Murray cod breeding in 20 years is under way in the Lower Darling River as a result of environmental watering.
