Regional Engagement Officer (REO) Kate spent her childhood spotting fish from the winding riverbanks of the lower Murray. Today she stands on those same banks as a voice for her community and the river they rely upon.
This water resource plan is the prevailing management plan for the surface water resources in the NSW Border Rivers water resource plan (WRP) area.
The plan was accredited by the Australian Government Minister as being consistent with the Basin Plan and commenced on 2 May 2024.

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority has been granted a new permit to support operation of Lake Victoria (Tar-Ru) while minimising impact to, and enabling conservation of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage.
