A recent tour to the northern Basin included a visit to the Gwydir catchment, where MDBA staff had the opportunity to visit Australian Food & Fibre (AFF). AFF is a vertically integrated grower, processor and marketer of cotton. The Murray–Darling Basin accounts for around 91% of Australia’s total cotton farms and cotton area (ABS 2016).
