The then Murray–Darling Basin Commission (MDBC), now Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) is funding the construction of 14 new fishways on the Murray River under the 'Sea to Hume Dam' fishway program.
Research and monitoring of the new fishways has provided useful data on fish migration and optimum fishway designs.
