This plan aims to protect First Nations cultural heritage under an adaptive management framework, through scientific investigations, operational actions, on-ground works and community involvement.
Under the conditions of the Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit No. 2471, the MDBA is required to maintain and implement a Cultural Landscape Plan of Management for Lake Victoria. This document represents the latest revision of the plan since its inception in 2002.
