Lock 9, which allows vessels to navigate at Cullulleraine on the River Murray, will be closed for approximately two weeks from 27 November 2017.
WaterNSW has reduced the amount of water released from the Menindee Lakes from 1,000 megalitres per day (ML/day) at weir 32 to 700 ML/day. The flow rate is expected to remain at 700 ML/day until the total volume held in the lakes reaches 480 gigalitres.

Murray cod, trout cod and Macquarie perch populations in the Basin are all improving from increased flows and better habitats.
Capitalising on the wettest conditions for years to support native fish, waterbirds, native vegetation and river flows in the Basin are a key focus for watering priorities in 2017–18.
