The Murray–Darling Basin Authority met on 13 June1023 in person on the lands of the First Peoples of Gomeroi Nations (Narrabri). The meeting was chaired by Sir Angus Houston with all members present.
An outstanding regional leader, Ms Rachel Kelly, has been appointed as Chair of the principal community advisory body in the Murray–Darling Basin, commencing 1 July 2023.

Murray–Darling Basin water ministers met today on Gadigal Land (Sydney) to discuss the impacts of flooding on catchments and communities, next steps to deliver the Basin Plan and opportunities to strengthen First Nations' role in water management and ownership.
