Landholders and river users, including pumpers, on the Mitta Mitta River are advised to take into account the forecast releases of water from Dartmouth Dam and make any necessary adjustment to their river activities.

WaterNSW has reduced the amount of water released from the Menindee Lakes from 1,000 megalitres per day (ML/day) at weir 32 to 700 ML/day. The flow rate is expected to remain at 700 ML/day until the total volume held in the lakes reaches 480 gigalitres.

WaterNSW will start increasing releases from the Menindee lakes system late this week (7th October) to deliver water ordered by the Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA), while continuing to operate the lakes to maximise future water security for local users.
