Murray cod is perhaps the Basin’s most iconic species, but populations are declining and under threat.
The Murray–Darling Freshwater Research Centre is a joint venture between the Murray Darling Basin Authority, CSIRO Land and Water and La Trobe University, that aims to answer locally relevant research questions to help guide water managers, and ultimately improve the health of our rivers, lakes and wetlands.
