Following the adoption of Schedule E by the Council for operationalising, monitoring and reporting on Cap implementation, this audit was conducted in line with the requirements of Clause 15 of the Schedule. At 4133 GL, diversion from rivers in the Murray–Darling Basin was the lowest since 1957 reflecting continuing severe drought conditions throughout most of the Basin.
The purpose of this report is to provide the Murray–Darling Basin Authority advice on defining climate scenarios for use in the MDBA modelling to guide development of the first Basin Plan.
