​On 20 June 2024, the Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) hosted an interactive workshop on the Basin Plan Review’s Early Insights Paper. The outcomes from this workshop are being used to inform our thinking as we continue our work on the 2026 Basin Plan Review.

We recently held our fourth annual regional water conference, River Reflections, in the beautiful city of Albury, New South Wales on 19 and 20 June.

The Advisory Committee on Social, Economic and Environmental Sciences (ACSEES) is an important source of independent, strategic advice to the Murray–Darling Basin Authority. The committee's work helps to ensure the Basin Plan is confidently implemented with the support of robust science and knowledge.

The 31st meeting of the Advisory Committee on Social, Economic and Environmental Sciences (ACSEES) was held on 18 June 2024, with members convening on Wiradjuri Country in Albury. The meeting was chaired by Professor Bill Young.
