​On 20 June 2024, the Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) hosted an interactive workshop on the Basin Plan Review’s Early Insights Paper. The outcomes from this workshop are being used to inform our thinking as we continue our work on the 2026 Basin Plan Review.

What a healthy Basin means from one person to another can vary greatly, but we are bringing people together to focus on what connects us all.

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) hosts approximately 3 Peaks Roundtables annually. These sessions are held with a range of organisations that have a Basin-wide focus or coverage. It is a forum to have open and constructive discussions, test ideas and share updates.

With so many Murray–Darling Basin Authority staff located in Basin regions, we have a front row seat to all the action. This month we saw the mighty Hume Dam in action, a cotton farm that utilises 3 sources of water, our REO’s presenting to future sustainable water irrigation experts and so much more, check out the photos and videos.

While there is still a way to go to the all-important Basin Plan Review in 2026, we have taken some big steps forward in the first half of this year, and we are looking forward to what comes next.
