This literature review addresses the topic of the creation of suitable habitat for waterbirds through retaining floodwater on floodplains or flow enhancement management interventions with particular reference to six hypotheses identified by the Murray–Darling Basin Authority as key areas for greater understanding.
This publication reports the results of aerial surveys of the six icon sites on the River Murray in November 2008.
