Basin state governments and the Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) are celebrating 20 years of The Living Murray (TLM) program – one of the longest-running river restoration projects in Australia.

The Chowilla Floodplain covers a total area of over 17,700 ha, mostly in South Australia (74%) and also extending into New South Wales (26%).
