From 27 February to 1 March, Authority Chair Sir Angus Houston, Chief Executive Andrew McConville, and Authority member Jane Doolan led the first MDBA tour of 2024, meeting with people in the northern Basin.
Based at St George in south-west Queensland, Regional Engagement Officer (REO) Lucy Sevil covers the Condamine–Balonne catchment – one of the largest catchment areas in the Murray–Darling Basin.

This water resource plan is the prevailing management plan for the surface water resources in the Murrumbidgee water resource plan (WRP) area. The plan was accredited by the Australian Government Minister as being consistent with the Basin Plan and commenced on 29 February 2024.
