Regulator Performance Framework

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority undertakes an annual self-assessment of its regulatory performance in line with the Australian Government's Regulator Performance Framework (RPF).

The aim of the RPF is to improve the performance of regulators. Through completing the self-assessment, the MDBA can identify ways it can undertake its regulatory functions with the minimum impact necessary on stakeholders to achieve the MDBA’s regulatory objectives.

Since 2015, the MDBA has reported on its regulatory performance in the area of water trade.
