The Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) proposes amendments to the Basin Plan.
The proposed amendments arise from several reviews, or are technical amendments proposed to ensure the smooth operation of the Basin Plan. The proposed amendments include changes based on the Australian Government’s response to the independent review of the Water Act 2007 (Cth). The draft legislative instrument sets out the specific changes to provisions of the Basin Plan that the MDBA proposes.
The draft legislative instrument contains each of the proposed amendments but does not show them in the context of the Basin Plan as a whole. If you would like to see the proposed amendments in context, the compilation draft provides an explanation of the proposed amendments and their effects.
