The reporting period 2006–2007 marks four years since the Native Fish Strategy (NFS) was approved by the Murray–Darling Basin Ministerial Council in May 2003.
The NFS is charged with the challenging task of coordinating the rehabilitation of aquatic habitats and recovery of decimated fish populations of the Murray–Darling Basin.
