Constraints Management Strategy annual progress report to Ministers 2015

In December 2014 water ministers agreed to proceed to the feasibility phase of the CMS and develop proposals to manage constraints, and mitigate the effects of higher flows, in seven priority areas.

During 2015 Basin states, with support from the MDBA, have been developing business cases for Ministers to consider as part of an intergovernmental process for making decisions about how constraints measures will be progressed further. Our analysis, combined with feedback from stakeholders, has improved understanding of the risks and impacts of a range of potential higher flows. This will enable governments to make decisions based on the best possible advice about the flows being investigated and how they can be achieved.
