The Aboriginal Weather Watchers Project was undertaken by the MDBA between 2016 and 2019.
It aimed to build knowledge on the impacts of weather on Aboriginal people. Specifically, its purpose was to record the impacts of weather on the everyday lives of Aboriginal people in the Murray–Darling Basin and explore the impact of weather on Aboriginal uses and values of water-dependent natural resources. Interviews were conducted with Aboriginal participants to draw out their experience in relation to the weather.
