Mitta Mitta Flow Advice – 9 August 2024

Decrease in release from Dartmouth Reservoir for the purposes of electricity generation.

Published: 9 August 2024

AGL in conjunction with River Murray Operations announced today that releases from Dartmouth Reservoir will be decreased for the purposes of electricity generation.

The current discharge at Coleman’s Gauge of 1,500 megalitres per day (ML/d) or 1.57 metres gauge height will be gradually decreased to 500 ML/d or 1.19 metres gauge height, commencing 4:00 pm on Friday 9 August 2024.

This decrease is expected to result in the flow at Tallandoon dropping to approximately 677 ML/d or 1.45 metres gauge height.

The duration of the varied releases for electricity generation is unknown and will be dependent upon electricity demand in the near future. A further flow advice will be issued when there is a significant change to the release program.
