Mitta Mitta Flow Advice – 5 December 2023

Landholders and river users, including pumpers, on the Mitta Mitta River are advised to take into account the forecast releases of water from Dartmouth Dam and make any necessary adjustment to their river activities.

MDBA is currently managing airspace at Dartmouth Dam. Releases from Dartmouth Dam will increase on 05 December from a target of 5,000 ML/day to a target of 6,000 ML/day (measured at Colemans gauge). Higher releases maybe possible in coming days.

Please note system conditions may change over the coming days. Another flow advice will be issued as release requirements change.

Landholders and river users on the Mitta Mitta are advised to regularly check the current flows and forecasts on the MDBA website for more information on releases from Dartmouth Dam. Summary information about the River Murray system is available in the River Murray weekly report.

If you are observing bank erosion around key assets on your property, as a result of the higher river flows, please call the North-East Catchment Management Authority. They implement a riparian program in conjunction with the MDBA.
