All 15 members of the BCC will represent their communities and interests across the Murray–Darling Basin. They offer independent advice that will support the ability of the MDBA and partner governments to make informed decisions on a wide range of Basin water resource, environmental, cultural and socioeconomic matters.

The BCC is an advisory committee under the Water Act 2007.

BCC members are selected by the Authority based on their expertise or interest in water use, water management, First Nations and local government matters.

The MDBA thanks outgoing BCC members for their valued contributions.
