Lucy Sevil (Regional Engagement Officer) recently visited 2 bifurcation sites in the northern Basin with Brendan Murphy from the office of the Inspector General of Water Compliance. Bifurcation weirs are structures that allow the regulation of flows when there is a division in the river. They are built just downstream of the split and can redirect water to where it is needed most.
